Privacy Policy

FiberFlow (“the app”) is a crafting companion for knitters and crocheters. This policy describes what information the app processes and how it is used.
Summary
FiberFlow stores your yarn stash, patterns, projects, and related crafting data primarily on your device. Optional Ravelry integration sends data to Ravelry when you connect your account and choose to import or sync. We do not operate a FiberFlow cloud server that collects your crafting library.
Information stored on your device
When you use FiberFlow, the app may store locally on your phone or tablet:
- Yarn stash entries, photos, and notes you add
- Pattern files, bookmarks, annotations, and metadata
- Project progress, queue order, tools inventory, and backup files you create
- App preferences and optional Ravelry OAuth tokens if you connect Ravelry
This data stays on your device unless you export it (for example via backup ZIP, CSV, PDF, or the Android share sheet) or use Ravelry integration.
Camera and photos
If you grant camera permission, FiberFlow uses the camera to scan yarn label photos, pattern pages, and QR codes for handoff. Images are processed on-device for text recognition where supported. Photos you attach are stored locally as part of your library.
Internet and third-party services
FiberFlow uses the internet when you:
- Import patterns from websites
- Connect to Ravelry via OAuth and import stash, patterns, queue, or favorites
- Load pattern thumbnails or other content from external URLs you choose
Ravelry integration is optional and governed by Ravelry’s privacy policy. When connected, the app exchanges OAuth tokens and requested library data with Ravelry’s API according to the permissions you approve.
On-device text recognition may use Google ML Kit components included with the app; processing occurs on your device for supported features.
Data you share
When you use export, backup, or share features, you choose where files go (email, cloud storage, messaging apps, etc.). FiberFlow does not control how those services handle data you share through the system share sheet.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete individual items in the app, purge all local data from Settings, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information. Disconnecting Ravelry removes stored OAuth tokens from the app. Exported copies you saved elsewhere are your responsibility to delete.
Children
FiberFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
